Creamy Garlic and Herb Mushroom Gravy
Mushroom Base

This recipe uses:
Premium Bases: Mushroom Base

Ingredients
  • Better Than Bullion - Mushroom Base 1-1/1/2 tbsp
  • Water 8 oz
  • Boursin - Gournay Cheese (Garlic or Chive) 1-1/1/2 tbsp
  • White Zinfandel or Rose Wine 3 oz (Optional)
  • Garlic, Sage, Thyme (1/2 tsp each)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions
VERY SIMPLE - Makes a beautifully smooth, flavorful sauce to you can serve over sliced Roast Pork (Loin or Rib Roast), over Beef Roast (any) or even Steak. Adjust seasonings to taste. Start by creating a strong broth from the Better Than Bullion - Mushroom Base by combining 1 1/2 to 2 tsp Mushroom Base to 8 oz water. Heat in a sauce pan till it just simmers. Add 1 to 1/12 tbsp Boursin Cheese to the broth (adjust to taste). Whisk mixture till smooth. Stir in 1/2 tsp Sage, Thyme and Garlic powder. Place on slow simmer for 5 min. Add 3 oz White Zin. Simmer (uncovered) 5 minutes more. Add Salt and Pepper to taste. Wine is optional. White Zin or Rose is best with Pork, use a Burgundy for Beef. If wine is not desired, simply leave it out, and reduce the simmering time.
